Every morning, Diego begins a journey that many people would find difficult. As a student at Lydia Patterson Institute, he crosses an international border each day to attend school, carrying with him not only his books and assignments, but also his dreams for the future.

Today, Diego is a sophomore, a member of the Art Club, and a student with a growing passion for graphic design. Like many teenagers, Diego is still discovering who he is and what he wants to become. But one thing has become clear: he loves creating. Whether he is working on a design project, participating in Art Club activities, or exploring new creative ideas, Diego has found that art gives him a way to express himself, build confidence, and see the world through a different lens.

What began as an interest has become a passion. At LPI, Diego is learning that creativity is a skill, a career, and a way to make an impact on others.

At Lydia Patterson Institute, we see students like Diego every day. They arrive with talent, curiosity, and potential, but often need opportunities and resources to help those gifts grow. That is why the vision for a new Creative Arts Studio is so important.

For students like Diego, a dedicated creative space would provide access to tools, technology, and experiences that can help transform a passion into a pathway. Imagine students learning graphic design, digital illustration, photography, video production, and other creative skills in a space designed specifically to inspire innovation and artistic expression.

For Diego, it would mean more opportunities to explore the field he loves. For other students, it may be the place where they discover a talent they never knew they had.

The Creative Arts Studio is about much more than art.
It is about confidence.
It is about opportunity.
It is about helping students discover the gifts God has placed within them and giving them the chance to develop those gifts for the future.

Every day, students like Diego cross bridges in pursuit of an education. With your support, we can help them build bridges to new opportunities, new careers, and new possibilities. Because of supporters like you, students like Diego are not just imagining their future—they are creating it.

 With gratitude and hope,

 Dr. Carla Cardoza
