What Will We Do About Racism?  The Time to Act is Now.
This high-impact speech was made by Garlinda Burton at a national UWFaith meeting in March. It has been reprinted, along with a Methodist timeline, Antiracism Actions to Consider, and a call to white sisters "to see it, name it, and tackle it." You'll find it powerful whether you read it alone or in a group. Consider sharing it with your circle, Sunday School class and family.

Never Give Up: Cynthia and Michelle's Faithful Fight Against Mass Incarceration 
This documentary shares the story of Cynthia and Michelle, who have been directly impacted by mass incarceration. It highlights some of the struggles women face while incarcerated and challenges viewers to confront the racial disparities within the justice system and urges reform.  It now has a free discussion guide to download. It was written to spark meaningful conversation, open dialogue, and inspire actionable steps towards justice and reform. 
The short film (less than 6 min. long) and discussion guide are both free. Together they are perfect for a Circle meeting, Sunday School class, etc. 

Recovering the Stories: Exploring the History and Resilience in Dallas Communities - West Dallas
In this episode, we look at the complexities of the Indian Relocation Act of 1956 and its impact on American Indian communities. The program was marketed as an opportunity for prosperity but for Native Americans who moved to West Dallas the realities were far more challenging. Today, we see the community’s efforts to reclaim their cultural identity and celebrate their rich Native American heritage. There are about 75,000 Native Americans in Dallas County today. Discuss the Intersection of Climate & Borders

Ilka grew up in Texas and many of us know her as an intern and her involvement at the annual Texas Legislative Event.
